To guarantee the parts supply over such a long period of time HEIDENHAIN maintains its own service warehouse at its headquarters in Traunreut. This warehouse stocks replacement devices and spare parts specially for the Service Department. In addition to the latest components, the service warehouse specifically holds in stock new and as-new parts for older devices. Furthermore, permanent stocks for the current devices are established so that HEIDENHAIN can continue to honor its extraordinary service and supply pledges in 20 years' time.
Regional service points support the central service warehouse. They provide not only additional storage capacity, but also guarantee above all fast delivery by being close to customers. Thanks to this logistics structure, when a customer urgently requires a spare part or replacement device, HEIDENHAIN can in most cases deliver in less than 24 hours in Europe, North America and many Asian countries.
HEIDENHAIN has also opened free helplines so that their customers can always reach a competent contact person for service requests and questions about how to operate devices and program TNC controls. The helplines reply to questions about faults, repairs, spare parts and replacement devices just as they provide assistance for NC and PLC programming, the implementation of TNC controls and encoders as well as the calibration of machines. In addition to the helplines, HEIDENHAIN also provides a telephone standby service outside normal working hours on weekdays until 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. With this comprehensive long-term service offering, HEIDENHAIN is always ready to provide its customers with rapid help and advice.
